    Celje

    The City Municipal of Celje has residents of more than 300,000 and its land covers up to 95 km2. The land consists of suburban and 39 urban settlements. Furthermore, the land area of Celje is 24km2 and is estimated to have a population about 50,000. Celje is known as the third largest city in Slovenia. Celje become the main sources for Slovenia due to its success in economy, sports, medical, educational, cultural, commercial, economic, business and administrative.
    The side of the Savinja River locates Celje, which is northwest of Celje Basin at the altitude of 241 meters above the sea level. What is more, Celje is located in the centre of Slovenia main highways between Rogaska Slatina at east direction, Slovenj Gradec and Velenje at northwest direction, Zidanj at south direction, Maribor at north direction and Ljubljana at the west direction. Due to the traffic flow in Celje, it is believed that Celje is located at center of Slovenia.
    Nevertheless, its attractive scenery, bounded by rich greenery, forests, and parks, will right away amaze a tourist and traveler to Celje. The well-known Savinja River that flows all the way through the old municipality intersects the Sava River.
